nicole & dennis ~ 7.31.10

Tuesday, August 10th, 2010

Where do I even start with these two? They met a long time ago…[and I think I'm allowed to say that - since it was 21 years ago!] He was her neighborhood paper boy….adorable, huh? They are high school sweethearts and have an amazing relationship with truly a unique spark between them…I feel their love just being around them. Now let’s get to their wedding day….oh my geeesh! Love the colors, love the locations, love their friends & family, love the details. It was waaaay so obvious there was tons of thought & ideas put into this one day, but I know everyone who was there will never forget it. I have a special spot in my heart for the Toledo Museum of Art [besides it being incredible] I used to work there years ago and have met a few special people from being there and now spend time there with my son quite frequently. So when I met with Nicole & Dennis the first time, I knew it would be amazing to be part of their day. They are both involved in the art scene in Toledo, which I completely appreciate – more than you know. To say I was honored to be part of their wedding would be an understatement. I enjoyed being a witness, a friend and the photographer and being exposed to such perfect details. The ceremony was awesome with such thoughtful words. So enough of my blabbing, let’s get to the sneak peek…because I know there are some patiently waiting!! ;)

Lyndsay & Eric ~ 7.17.10

We had an incredible time with Lyndsay & Eric on their wedding day ~ It was my first time [for a wedding] in Taylor, Michigan and will be heading up there again next year for another. I love going to new locations for my job! We worked with Cylde from Fraley Productions who did the video and he put together a little trailor video that I highly recommend viewing.  Lyndsay & Eric have such great personalities who I just knew would have a great bridal party, which makes our day go so much better. It was like hanging out with a group of friends all day long. Thank you all for a great day! Rochelle & I enjoyed ourselves and laughed a lot! Enjoy the sneak peek!!

Stephanie & Paul ~ 6.26.10

Thursday, July 29th, 2010

It’s been a while since Stephanie & Paul’s big day but I will always remember I laughed A LOT. Their engagement session was filled with laughter last fall, so when it came time for the wedding, surrounded by their friends & family, I knew there would be waaay more laughs and without a doubt there was. They were married in the gorgeous church of Saint Stephens Roman Catholic [my second time being there in June - and the only times I've ever been there, odd on the coincidence]. The temperature was hot but we still managed to enjoy the day, finally got to use a new spot downtown that I’ve been waiting on and enjoyed a beverage at the docks with some quick photos! :) Thank you for the opportunity!! Rochelle & I had a great time ~ !!

Just a couple details…. oh and they are buckeye fans….if you couldn’t tell from their bridal party attire :)

elizabeth & craig ~ 6.19.10

Monday, July 5th, 2010

Okay, so it’s funny how some seasons I’m at the same church or reception site twice [which happened already in June, next wedding post] But it’s even more funny [is this correct grammar?] when I’m in the same little town 3 times in 4 weeks. And to be honest I didn’t even know where Ottawa was before booking these 3 weddings! I drove an hour each time and taking a different route each time – just to mix it up – and there is something about the country that calms me – maybe it is because I grew up in farmland or the landscape is so peaceful. Anywho, I enjoyed the drive, I enjoyed the people and of course my brides & grooms – who coincidently, all the grooms grew up here [not knowing one another].

So let’s get to my last Ottawa couple – Elizabeth & Craig. They met at the University of Dayton. Whew and let me tell you…UD Alumni loooove their school.  Such pride and commitment…it’s nice to see!! These two are so cute together and their spark is obvious. So let get to a few of my favorites…

I think Elizabeth would be highly disappointed if I didn’t include a few photos of Rudy Flyer who made a special and VERY secretive visit to their reception. You see, Elizabeth was very eager to have Rudy at her reception but bridesmaid and close friend, Tracie had another plan…she lied to Elizabeth, yep she lied and told her Rudy wasn’t able to make it. All the while  making the right contacts and with the help of her father and made it all happen. So with the next image, you can tell they were surprised…oh and I was in on the whole secret the whole time too. Ha, so there I can keep secrets!!

So thank you again for having Mandy & I be part of your special day!! We had a great time ~
