Paige ~ class of 2008

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

Monday evening I had a great time photographing Paige for her senior portraits! We met at her home in order to get a few snaps with Doogie…is that right Paige? (as in Dr. Doggie Howser? – I remember that!) Doogie is Paige’s four year old horse. It was a treat to meet her horse and capture these moments in time. I love the first shot…it tails could be arms.
We were then on our way to a private home for the rest of the shoot – thanks Emily for permission to use your parent’s home. (I’d love to go back!) We were able to walk the grounds and find many props and back drops! Paige is currently a senior at Notre Dame. Thanks for the fun Paige & Diann! Here are a few of my favorites…

Heather & Jesse ~ 8.25.07

Wednesday, August 29th, 2007

Saturday was another out of town wedding for Mary & I [we only have one more this season] this time around we were in Cleveland and then later in Wickliffe with Heather & Jesse. When I met with these two to review, go over details and well, meet – Heather booked me over the phone last year! So when I finally met Heather & Jesse, I knew we were in for a treat! I found out that Jesse is a twin (not identical, though they look exactly alike) and Heather has two sisters that are twins. Oh but it gets better, Jesse’s twin and Heather’s sister are married…so it’s now one big family! [All siblings sharing inlaws]. SO with all that squared away, we were able to get to know one another a little better and I knew their wedding would be fantastic! I knew the ceremony was going to be outdoors, but we hadn’t talked about the weather…and well, it rained. Yep. Though Mary & I were both prepared with our umbrellas. Right up until a guest decided to ‘borrow’ it, as I have it gripped somehow between my arm and squeeze against my side all awhile shooting with 2 cameras and trying not to get my equipment wet, she took it! Luckily Mary was near by and stepped in to save me and my cameras, and we are all okay! A little rain did not ruin this party at all. Here are a few of my favorites from the day ~ be sure to check out more images from Mary my fabulous associate by clicking here!

The Carpenter Family

Monday, August 27th, 2007

As earlier mentioned, I was able to visit my good friend and her family last weekend and as always, it’s photo time when I visit! Here is Wyatt at 8 months. It was a great time getting reunited (we only see each other about 3 times a year) and ofcourse watching Grant get mad at Wyatt for wanting his toys. I mean Wyatt’s toys when I say ‘his’. Grant is going through that stage of everything is his! So it’s a good thing Wyatt can’t quite stand up on his own. Thank you Shannon for letting us be at home and letting me photograph your fam! Wyatt was so fun to watch, especially when he dribbled! HA! I still don’t think I’ve ever seen baby hair like this EVER!! [I'm a fan!!] Here are few of my favorites!

Grant seemed to get jealous of Wyatt having his photo taken so much that I think he actually began to be jealous, so he decided to sit down at a free moment…

Megan ~ class of 2008

Monday, August 27th, 2007

Last weekend, I was able to get out of town because I had Alexia & David’s wedding on Friday, but no wedding on Saturday. So Grant & I traveled south to Celina to visit my good friend, Shannon and her family. Most of you know her as “my friend that told me I was going to photograph her wedding” and that’s where my photography business started…
ANYWHO ~ Shannon is not only my friend, a great wife to Adam, perfect mom to Wyatt (who will be posted later) but she is also an Art Educator at Marion Local High School…so that is how I was lucky enough to photography Megan’s senior portraits! Megan is one of ‘Mrs. Painter’s students. She [and sis] were both really fun to work with! Not being from the area and not knowing one back road from the next, Megan took us around a few stops starting with the high school ~ All spots were so neat and I’m so glad to have this opportunity. Megan will be at Cleveland State next fall studying graphic design and [ofcourse] playing volleyball! Good Luck to you, Megan! Here are a few of my favorites from her session ~

Still blonde!

Thursday, August 23rd, 2007

“LET ME SEE” is one of Grant’s favorite phrases… he runs to the dining room window to see who is coming and going [even if no one is even around]. Look at those strong little arms!

He loves to ‘play’ with the spray bottle, too! I like to referr it to a redneck bath – ONLY KIDDING!!!
