Can it get any better than that?
Shelby & Mike are both teachers and it definitely showed during their wedding planning. She was one very organized bride and I loved everything about their day. Christmas in July…but without the red, green and snow – instead white, black and sun! I know they have been anxiously waiting for their sneek peak as they sit together on the honeymoon so enough typing here are a few of my favorites…

Yep, that’s a roll of toliet paper in the top corner – this was the first time a bride had asked me if I saw the tp in the restroom?!! I honestly didn’t know what to say – so I knew I had to take my camera along. smblog15.jpg

Enjoy you two love birds!! I hope you are having a blast!
Oh by the way ~ Ceremony & Reception both were at Tamaron Country Club! Hafners did the flowers and Joel from Ultimate Nights kept the party going! :)

Some Jazz on Sunday

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

Last Sunday I was asked to photograph an event at the Botanical Gardens that was held in honor of Rusty Monroe – to keep the Toledo Jazz scene alive. It was so fun – the weather was perfect, the people were all so sweet! It was just a great day to be outsidte if you didn’t mind the temp. There were several acts that played all afternoon, so you can imagine that I came home with a lot of images. Here is just a handful of the ones that stuck out -

Lisa & Matt ~ 7.19.08

Friday, July 25th, 2008

Don’t let the umbrellas fool you ~ Lisa & Matt had a great ceremony & their wedding day was full of fun! Yes, they got married in the rain…a light rain and most people had umbrellas. Lisa had such a great attitude and knew a little rain was not going to ruin the day she has waited for. Lisa & Matt said their ‘I do’s” at the Toledo Botanical Gardens on Saturday and later celebrated at the Electrical Hall in Rossford. We had plenty of time for photographs and they had plenty of time in the party bus (per Matt’s instructions). These two are so sweet together and deserve a lifetime of happiness!
Ceremony Site: Botanical Gardens
Reception Site: Electrical Hall
Dj: Decorative Sound – Chip

When it came time to say goodbye to one of my favorite couples, I wanted to snap a few shots away from the action but if you’ve been to the Electrical Hall, there is no real spot to escape too, so we found some empty stairs and well, I love this look! bloglm-101.jpg
Lisa’ & Matt’s day felt like a Valentine’s day wedding in the summer with all the little spots of red!! She even wore her red shoes most of the day – which I loved!

Laura & Marc ~ 7.18.08

Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008

Friday I was in Youngstown for Laura & Marc’s big bash! It was such a great day! A little hot, but it’s July and expected but everyone was such good troopers! [I always feel for guys in tuxedos]. Laura & Marc have been together 8 years (that’s right, right?) – and I don’t think I’ve met a groom who smiled so much and so big! You can definitely tell he found his match and they will be happy forever.

Can you believe I had to travel to Youngstown to see one of my favorite Toledo bands?? HEPCAT REVIVAL - a must see in my book!

I think my favorite part of the reception (well besides listening to Hepcat all night) was when I left with Laura & Marc to stand in the middle of the street!

Laura did such an amazing job with her details…LOVE them all! bloglm-details.jpgThank you for choosing me to document your day for you – it was an honor and I look forward to seeing Courtney & Brad and Marc’s side again in August!

Shots from the VACA & Family Session

Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008

I know I know ~ we’ve been home 2 weeks and I’m finally getting the opportunity to post a few from our trip. For those of you who don’t know where we went – we traveled to South Carolina to spend a few days with my inlaws (Greenville, SC) and then a few days with my brother (Myrtle Beach, SC). While it was really fun getting away for awhile on a family trip and ofcourse seeing Grant experience new things, I think I might have been nuts to go right smack during the summer. But it was worth it!! These first few shots were from a safari type place we went to – Grant enjoyed feeding the animals!

We also went to the Alligator Adventure in Myrtle – gotta love those gators!
