If you haven’t already read Mary’s blog post about the first look ~ please do so. We encourage couples to do this on their wedding day for various reasons, but yet don’t force them. If you saw your spouse prior to your ceremony on your wedding day, please comment here to tell me & everyone your thoughts.

These two shots were taken during Britton & Jim’s first look. The second one (one of my favorites from the whole day) was taken between two doors as we left them alone for a few moments.

Britton & Jim ~ 11.1.08

Britton & Jim’s wedding…such a fun day filled with super laidback people. I loved all of Britton’s details, colors and her mood was just so comfortable. We had lots of time for photos (which is a complete bonus for me!). Britton first contacted me waaaaay back in the summer of 07 to set up an engagement session [without having a wedding date] and I was a little leary that I wouldn’t be able or open to photograph their wedding but in the end, they chose one of my last available dates (which I was happy about) that just happend to be a by week for the Buckeyes (which their families were happy about) and it was still very fallish outside. Enjoy your sneek peak ~ hope the wait was worth it. Still jealous that you went to London & Paris to celebrate!!

costumes

Another Halloween with Grant… and I must say (without bragging too much) he was the highlight to some people’s trick or treat night this year. He walked the streets as Honest Abe. *as a side note* we ‘make’ all his costumes ~ I refuse to purchase a fake, plastic, premade of anything :) That’s just the art majors in us, I guess.

He’s with his pal, Emma and it looks like they are discussing their strategies :)

As a special treat I thought I would ‘dig’ out his past 2 costumes. [an amish man at 23 months]

I can’t resist -sorry! [these were all taken with my point & shoot, Canon Power Shot. I refused to bring along the 5d for vacation – it needed one too :)
If anyone is wondering that didn’t know – We flew into Fort Lauderdale, met my parents at the airport and drove down to the Florida Keys. My older brother & family arrived a few hours prior. We stayed at a cute little ‘village of huts’ in the Marathon Key aka the ‘vacation house’ to Grant. The weather was awesome – high 70s to 80s the whole time we were there. It was wierd to wear shorts in November! We traveled to Key West, which was only about an hour away even with everyone driving 5 mph under the limit.
It was a well needed, enjoyable break – though next year it might have to be in February…
With a few more weddings in 08 and one on January 1st, I don’t consider my season over for a bit. Lots of catching up to do ~

[did I mention this was blog day for me?? and to think I've got about 5 more posts to do]
Kristen contacted me about doing a ‘wear it again’ session before leaving on vacation and I’m sure she is patiently waiting her sneak peek….the rest will available this week.
We met at Oak Openings and had a great time! Thank you Kris for being such a good sport!
