‘working visit vaca’
Monday, March 30th, 2009If you follow the blog, you might know that I have family in South Carolina which is always so handy
Last week we went for a ‘working visit vacation’ to SC. My brother will be fulfilling an all time dream by opening his own restaurant in a few weeks and had asked me to fill it with photographs. So we had a photo date where he drove and I photographed all sorts of things. A little bit different than my typical shoot considering I didn’t tell anyone what to do or how to look but still managed to have fun, enjoy myself and the time with Kurt. We were together for about 6 hours and came home with 300 images in my camera. It then took me a few days to go through all the images, delete, edit, print & finally frame in time for us to catch our plane back home. The name of his restuarant is the Black River Grill – so he wanted many shots of the river/boats and not to mention the oak trees that are all over the place. Gorgeous oak trees. We headed south a bit to Huntington State Park for the Atalaya Castle and then across the street to the Brookgreen Gardens and then further south to Georgetown for the river. It was an honor to do this both with and for my big brother personally and professionally. I hope to get back soon to see my images on the walls and ofcourse see the restaurant open. But until then, here are a few my favorite shots of the day and if you are ever in the Myrtle Beach/Surfside area – you definitely need to stop by for some food & drink.
