Last weekend I had the pleasure of spending the day (along with Emily) celebrating with Jen & Jeff and their fun bridal party! The day was all about spring & butterflies ~ and loved every part of it. Everywhere you looked there was a butterfly – real ones, fake ones, shiny ones, crystal ones, even the ice sculpture! These two originally met in High School and then years later began their relationship, I love hearing that this still happens! I also loved that Jen & Jeff chose me to be part of their day! I know I have a bride that has been waiting patiently to see a sneak peek and didn’t want to go to bed another night without posting ~ so here ya go!

Kara & Todd have a unique ‘how we met story’ that I adore and feel the need to share…you see Kara’s father introduced them, but the introduction would not have happen if it wasn’t for a partical neighborhood bar called OB’s Bar in Toledo. Which I had the pleasure to visit with the entire bridal party and love when we have time to do this. Kara has a special sort of spark about her that is like a magnet – you want to be around her. Her smile pulls you in and the laugh keeps you there and Todd is the perfect match for her, who compliments her so well. Thank you again for letting Mandy & I be part of your happen’ day! I hope your honeymoon was fabulous!

[I know I'm late/behind/horrible when it comes to these bloggings - I'm sorry! I promise I will do better and stay on the ball] Please forgive me!

Lauren & Jeff were married outside in Grotto at Nazareth Hall, one of my favorite locations. The day was absolutely perfect – weather was a bit iffy, but ended up cooroperating for the outdoor ceremony! Lauren looked amazing and Jeff…not bad at all! One thing is for sure with these two is that their love for one another was obvious. There is one thing about a happy smile, but their smiles told much more. [I have a thing with smiles if you didn't know]. It’s the first thing I look at when I meet someone and I try to get as much information from that first smile as I can. But for Lauren and Jeff it was as if they had their own language between each other through their smiles. The way they look at one another will always make me smile!

I met Hannah & Ryan [and their pug/jack russel mix doggie] in Grand Rapids, Ohio awhile back for their engagement session and had a great time getting to know these cuties! They will be getting married in August and I’m so excited to know I will be part of it! The two block downtown has so much to offer as far as back drops go and not to mention the ‘yellow field’  just outside of town – I couldn’t get enough! This was my first engagement session of the spring and really almost forgot how much fun they are! I did another session last night that I’m looking forward to showing off – they are fun times, so if you have booked your wedding with me – Please contact me to schedule yours!

 

A few weeks ago I photographed one of my favorite couples from 08 and their baby belly!!! I am soo excited for Jen & Dan to become parents I can’t stand it. I’ve actually known these 2 for almost 3 years now and love the fact that I’ve witnessed how their relationship has turned into one of my all-time-favorite wedding days and now (soon) to be beautiful parents to one very lucky baby girl OR boy - Lucky because of the parents she or he will have.  Jen & Dan thanks for letting me be part of your life…and can’t wait to meet the little one.
